R09 Mugello – FRECA Race Preview

Prema Racing FRECA Mugello preview

The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine is back between the Italian borders for the penultimate round of 2021 at Mugello. The challenging Tuscan venue, featuring fast, sweeping corners and heavy elevation changes, will open the final part of the season which will later conclude at Monza.
PREMA Powerteam is coming back to familiar territory, running at the same venue where it delivered a stunning hat-trick in the 2020 Formula Regional Championship. Currently fifth in the standings in a close pack of drivers fighting for points, Estonian Paul Aron has positive memories from his F4 days at Mugello, with one win to his credit in 2019.
Spaniard David Vidales is returning to Italy where he won the opening event of the year at Imola. For the 19-year-old, the goal is to show good qualifying form and move on from there on race day. Last but not least, Rookie Dino Beganovic showed pace back in Spain and returning on a track that was kind to him at his first run in F4 last year, he wishes to give his fellow rookies and more experienced rivals a run for their money.
Ralf Aron – Team Manager
“We are definitely on a positive path which we hope to continue at Mugello. Being back to the podium provided the team with a great boost of confidence and we are now set to race at a place we know well. Hopefully the momentum, paired with our renewed effort and the potential we have been showing, will bring us good results to wrap up the season.”
