PREMA has positive run in final F2 test of 2021
PREMA Racing wrapped up the three-day FIA Formula 2 Championship post-season test session today at Abu Dhabi. Coming from a triumphant year that saw it win the driver and team championships, PREMA’s F2 operation lined up with Dennis Hauger and Jehan Daruvala sharing driving duties.
The Norwegian made the step from FIA F3 after cruising to the title earlier this year with the team. His early focus was on getting good chemistry with the car and its procedures, but as the action proceeded, he became increasingly competitive while doing valuable work.
Daruvala made his comeback with the team after finishing third in the 2019 FIA Formula 3 Championship. The Indian was tasked with a thorough program, providing the team with the data needed in preparation for 2022. Daruvala, who stayed at the front for the three days, showed great potential.
Testing included a variety of aspects, from runs in qualifying trim to race simulations and pit-stops.
#1 DENNIS HAUGER
“We had a lot of new stuff to learn, but overall I think we learned quite a few things and made some experiences that I can build on for the future. It was a lot of fun as well, improving step by step every day, and hopefully, we can carry that momentum into the next tests. It was a good start!”

“I think the test, in general, went pretty good. I got comfortable in the car straight away on day 1. After that, the team had some run plans to go through for all three days, and I think we ticked all the boxes. All in all, I think it’s been a very positive test. The pace was good on both the short and long runs. I’m quite happy, and hopefully, the team also got the data they needed…”
