ART Grand Prix scored an incredible 1-2-3 in Monza last weekend winning the Team Championship 2 rounds before the season ends.

The French team has a great year behind with 6 wins and 463 points followed by Trident with only 222 points so far. This is ART’s 7th team champion title out of 8 seasons, but what is needed for such an achievement? We asked George Russell and Anthoine Hubert to tell us what is the key of ART’s success.

“I think it is a mix of everything” started Anthoine “We have a very good car. The engineers are doing an awesome job. They know the car really well and they know how to react in different situations. They all have a lot of experience, which I think helps a lot.” said ART’s Frenchman.
“We are very good at the small details, and when you have a lot of small details, you get a big result and that is what happening this year” started George. “When we give feedback to the team, they know exactly what we want from the car.”
Of course a fast car and good engineers are not enough to win a championship, if the team does not have quick drivers. ART Grand Prix competes with Jack Aitken, Nirei Fukuzumi, George Russell and Anthoine Hubert this year, who are currently standing in the top 4 places of GP3 Series drivers’ standings.
“I think we have 4 divers who work really well together. We push each other, and we are very quick all the time. I think this whole package is just comes together, and race by race we are just extremely fast.” said the Mercedes Junior, George Russell about his teammates.
“We have 4 good drivers, and we are pushing each other massively since the beginning of the season.” started Anthoine. “Every time when one of us is quicker, it gives motivation and we start pushing harder. Maybe others think that ART is the best car so far, which is maybe true, but us as drivers are also doing a good job. I mean, we are not just sitting in a car and then we are automatically in first row.”
