PREMA Racing makes gains in Spa-Francorchamps race 3
PREMA Racing made consistent improvements in race 3 at Spa-Francorchamps, the final one for the FIA Formula 3 Championship at the Belgian venue. Starting outside the top-12 again, the team’s three drivers put on a stellar drive in very wet conditions.
Norwegian Dennis Hauger ended the race in P8. The 18-year-old Red Bull Junior driver wrestled his way up from P14 with plenty of outstanding passing maneuvres and collected extremely valuable points for the championship.
Ferrari Driver Academy’s Arthur Leclerc rounded out the top-10. The 20-year-old from Monte Carlo improved his position, ending up right in front of team-mate Olli Caldwell. The 19-year-old racer put up another impressive run starting from P18 on the grid. Caldwell was the biggest mover of the day, gaining seven spots in a hard-fought recovery and finishing just shy of the points zone.
Albeit with a reduced cushion due to the challenging Spa-Francorchamps weekend, PREMA Racing keeps leading the Team Championship, while Hauger retained the lead of the Driver classification.
#1 DENNIS HAUGER
“It has been a tough weekend overall, but in the last race, we managed to work and find the way to improve and get to the points again. We will take the points and then re-set ourselves for Zandvoort next week to get back to the momentum we had earlier.”

#2 ARTHUR LECLERC
“Race 3 still wasn’t easy, but there are positives to take. I think we made a good improvement from yesterday on the car and myself as well. We were able to score some points. I think the trouble started when we didn’t have the best qualifying, and we weren’t really lucky with the red flag, but I think that today we found a better way to approach the race. I’m happy for that, and now we move on to Zandvoort.”

“Even if we didn’t manage to score points, I think race 3 showed how much we improved throughout the weekend. It was another tricky race with lots of action and some really challenging conditions. We managed to make the most out of it, and it was great to fight and gain so many positions. Now we hope for a less troublesome weekend at Zandvoort!”
