R06 Mugello – Italian F4 Race Preview

Prema Racing Italian F4 Mugello preview

The Formula 4 season is back to its full pace this weekend at Mugello, as the twisty and technical venue outside Florence will be home to round 6 of the 2021 Italian Championship. PREMA Powerteam line-up five cars in Tuscany, with the full-time line-up of Sebastian Montoya, Kirill Smal, Conrad Laursen, and Hamda Al Qubaisi joined again by Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
Coming from an ill-fated weekend at Red Bull Ring, 16-year-old Colombian Montoya will be refreshed and ready to continue chasing a so-far elusive maiden win. Russian Smal will go for podium finishes too. The Russian (also 16) finally went back to the podium at Red Bull Ring and is willing to keep the same momentum for the final two rounds at Mugello and Monza.
Danish Rookie Conrad Laursen and Emirati Hamda Al Qubaisi are aiming for a rebound after some struggles on Austrian soil. Both the 15-year-old and the 19-year-old female racer showed pace and secured solid results in the previous events and are aware of their good potential.
Last but not least, Antonelli will enter his second event in single-seaters coming from a rookie win in his first start. For him, the goal will once again be to increase his experience and maximise the results on a track not far away from home.
Angelo Rosin – Team Principal
“We are looking forward to the penultimate round of the season at Mugello. Back at Red Bull Ring, we showed good potential which we aim to turn into a positive display at a place where we achieved considerable success in the past. We will rely on our four full-time drivers with the addition of Antonelli to set off a convincing run in the final stint of the season. We always line-up aiming for the best possible results and we will again provide our 100 percent effort to succeed this weekend.”
