PREMA continues successful run at Vallelunga
PREMA Racing experienced another dominant weekend at Vallelunga in the fourth round of the Italian Formula 4 Championship. Italian Andrea Kimi Antonelli was once again the star of the weekend by delivering a stunning triple win. The Italian racer stormed to the lead of the championship converting his earlier triple pole in a commanding run.
Teammates Rafael Camara, James Wharton, and Charlie Wurz also celebrated on the podium. The Brazilian got two-second places in race 1 and 3 and could have scored more points without a puncture in race 2. On the other hand, the Austrian delivered two third-place finishes in race 1 and 2, and wrapped the event up them with a point finish despite getting stuck at the start.
Wharton, who like Camara is a Ferrari Driver Academy member, secured a podium finish in race 1 and went close to the same goal in race 3, maximizing his starting position. Dane Conrad Laursen couldn’t find the right confidence with the car and track combination. Coming from his maiden F4 win in the German series, Laursen scored two points finishes but will be in for a comeback after the summer break.
The next round of the Italian Championship will be at Red Bull Ring in September.

“Good speed this weekend, just a shame for the first race since we had to pace to get 3 podiums here at Vallelunga. But to come out with two podiums is still positive, and still hunting for more after the summer break.”

“It has been a good weekend as we had a great pace all the time and I tried to improve myself since practice. In qualifying, I managed to get the pole positions, and in all three races I made a good start and build a strong pace. I’m delighted for the triple win and I thank the team for the great job. Now it’s time for a little break and we’ll focus on the next!”
