R10 – Hungaroring – FIA Formula 2 Race Preview
The FIA Formula 2 Championship will conclude its challenging summer stint this weekend at Hungaroring with teams and drivers facing the fourth series event in a single month.
PREMA Racing will be lining up at the Hungarian Grand Prix Circuit to make a statement. Coming from a podium finish at Circuit Paul Ricard, the aim is for an improvement in qualifying to maximize the results of both races.
Red Bull Juniors Jehan Daruvala and Dennis Hauger will be back on the hunt. The Indian has driven at the track in his debut FIA F2 season and will put his experience to fruition as he looks forward to improving his P4 in the championship, while the Norwegian will be back to where he captured a pivotal win in his 2021 FIA F3 title chase to make a step in his rookie challenge.
In addition to the challenges of the venue, with a twisty and physically demanding layout, the weekend might also see the weather come into play with rain expected to fall during the weekend.
Rene Rosin – Team Principal
“We are facing a tricky moment in our F2 campaign and coming to a track where we had quite some success in the past makes us confident we will be able to extract the best from our package. Hungaroring is unique in terms of the track and it’s a place where you really need to have everything sorted from the very first day. We will put our maximum effort into having a positive run before the summer break.”
