R12 Zandvoort – FIA Formula 2 Race Preview

Prema Racing F2 Zandvoort

Coming from a challenging series of weekends, PREMA Racing is looking forward to going back on track for the Dutch round of the 2022 FIA Formula 2 Championship at Zandvoort. Last week, a series of circumstances led the team to its second consecutive weekend with no points on the table.

The Dutch Grand Prix venue is a peculiar one with a tight older part paired by new banked corners. As passing is not easy, even with the recent modifications, qualifying is considered particularly critical.

The FIA F2 championship will be racing for the first time at the revamped Zandvoort Park circuit. Dennis Hauger already raced – and won – there in the FIA Formula 3 Championship, and with Jehan Daruvala’s great experience, the team’s Red Bull Junior combination is expected to provide valuable insight.

Rene Rosin – Team Principal

“We are working as hard as we can to end the season on a high note and make our way back to the front at Zandvoort. It hasn’t been easy recently, but we need to stay focused and motivated. If we look at the first part of the year, we see that the potential is there for more success. It will all start from qualifying, where we need to make a step and we are deeply confident in Dennis and Jehan to be a vital part of our comeback.”
