PREMA takes another double podium at Red Bull Ring

F3 Prema Racing Austria R3

PREMA Racing claimed two podium finishes in the final race of the FIA Formula 3 weekend at Red Bull Ring as Dennis Hauger and Olli Caldwell finished second and third respectively.
The Austrian venue made for another great run today. The main race of the Styrian event saw Hauger drop a few spots in the early stages after starting from pole. The Norwegian fought back to P2 at the end, gaining valuable points. Together with yesterday’s results, that solidified his lead in the driver standings.
Caldwell delivered an amazing race too, starting from P8 and gaining ground with a highly competitive performance. The Brit had the pace to challenge for the win and battled with his teammate before securing his second podium of the weekend and P4 in points.
Arthur Leclerc was having another impressive drive, battling his way among the pack, but the Monegasque was pushed in the grass on lap 14, losing his front wing. At that point, he was just a passenger and could not brake for the following corner, which resulted in a fiery crash.
Leclerc was taken to Hospital LKH Judenburg for further investigation of potential injuries to his right chest and side. The investigations revealed no ongoing issues and he was discharged from their care.
PREMA Racing will line up for the next round of the series at the end of July at Hungaroring.
#1 DENNIS HAUGER
“Overall it was a really good weekend. We showed again that we could get that last win. We have been a bit unfortunate with the Virtual Safety Car, because we had the pace. Still good points in the championship and some good things we can take with us for the next one so we have to be happy with the weekend.”
