R08 Valencia – FRECA Race Preview

Prema Racing Formula Regional European Championship Valencia preview

The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine will run at Valencia this weekend. The flat 4-km Circuit Ricardo Tormo will be home to round 8 as it was chosen as a fallback venue after the cancellation of an event formerly planned at the Nürburgring.
PREMA Powerteam will be back to a venue it hasn’t visited for some time, and all the contenders will also be approaching new variables there. The team is coming from a positive run at Red Bull Ring, having returned to the podium with Paul Aron. The 17-year-old Estonian is tied for fourth place in the championship.
With a top-10 finish in race 3, David Vidales finally ended a troubled moment in terms of results, and the 19-year-old Spaniard is looking forward to racing in his home country to make it back to winning form. On the other hand, coming from his maiden rookie win at Spa-Francorchamps, Sweden’s Dino Beganovic is expecting to impress with a more leveled playing field running at a new track for all the drivers.

Ralf Aron – Team Manager
“I think we showed good progress at Red Bull Ring despite some bad luck in qualifying, and I’m looking forward to carrying on the same improvement at Valencia. The track will be a new one, but there will be a test on Thursday, so we hope to maximize what we can as early as possible and go on from there. We have great trust in our drivers, and we hope that the event will reward them with positive results.”
