R05 Spielberg – Italian F4 Race Preview

Prema Racing italian F4 R5 preview

It’s round 5 for the Italian Formula 4 Championship, and PREMA Powerteam is set for a major effort at Red Bull Ring. The team will line up at the flowing Austrian circuit, located among the Styrian hills, with six cars.
Championship contenders Sebastian Montoya and Kirill Smal, both 16, will try to make a positive step forward in Spielberg after taking two podium finishes there in the 2021 ADAC F4 opener. The Colombian is third in the driver standings, and after inching closer to his maiden win at Imola, is aiming for a breakthrough. On the other hand, the Russian is looking for consistency after a troubled run last time around.
Dane Conrad Laursen (16) will return to continue his chase for the rookie championship, while 19-year-old Hamda Al Qubaisi, is set to try and repeat the great runs that gave her multiple points finishes, including a podium.
Joining the team after his Vallelunga debut, 15-year-old Charlie Wurz is aiming straight to the top at his home racetrack, following a convincing early performance. Last but not least, Italian Andrea Kimi Antonelli (15) will make his first career start in single-seaters moving up from an extremely successful karting career.

Angelo Rosin – Team Principal
“This season has been incredibly competitive and, coming to Red Bull Ring, we are bracing for an exciting challenge. All our full-time drivers have proved highly competitive so far. In addition, we are looking forward to the return of Wurz, who had a promising outing at Vallelunga, and to the first single-seater experience for Antonelli in a highly-anticipated debut. It won’t be easy, but challenges are never meant to be easy, so we are confident in our work method and commitment. With only three rounds to go, this is the moment to maximize the efforts and, hopefully, the results.”
